So tonight is our End of Year Awards Banquet for the Biology and Earth Science Department. I look forward to recognizing all the hard work everyone does.It is hard to keep the leadership and outstanding students and faculty a secret. Last year, my daughter was the outstanding biology student and believe me that was hard to keep quiet until it was announced. I was so proud of her and her accomplishments. She is at MU now doing a MPH and considering whether she wants to try med school or a physician assistant program.
So I am excited for tonight, I am stepping down as the MC and I and taking on the role of official photographer. I think all the awards look great and I hope everyone likes them.
I was looking forward to talking with everyone afterwards but I have to leave to drive to Carrollton tonight so I can go to a funeral with my mother tomorrow. Maybe next year everything will work as planned but I am not holding my breath, always seems like something comes up.
